Also the Surratt Tavern. View them at: http://www.historybuff.com/panos/lincoln/ Rick Brown HistoryBuff.com A Nonprofit Organization RE: Lincoln Photos Part 2 - Jim Garrett - 10-27-2013 06:55 PM Rob: Thanks so much for the pictures. It is interesting the story of the cabin(s). Jim RE: Lincoln Photos Part 2 - RJNorton - 10-28-2013 05:10 AM Vicki and I visited the site once in the 1970's, and my memory is extremely vague. I think we ate in a restaurant near Evansville which made the claim Lincoln either ate there or slept there. I could be imagining that, though. RE: Lincoln Photos Part 2 - Rob Wick - 10-28-2013 07:03 AM That's not your imagination, Roger. That would be the Log Inn. Best Rob http://theloginn.net/history/ RE: Lincoln Photos Part 2 - RJNorton - 10-28-2013 08:22 AM Thanks, Rob. Vicki and I had long forgotten the place's name. RE: Lincoln Photos Part 2 - LincolnMan - 10-29-2013 02:14 PM Thanks again Rob- especially like the Sandburg grave photo. RE: Lincoln Photos Part 2 - Joe Di Cola - 10-30-2013 10:08 AM Rob, Thanks for the memories. Now I really am motivated to revisit those sites. Like Bill, I also enjoyed the photo of you by Remembrance Rock in Galesburg. Joe RE: Lincoln Photos Part 2 - Rob Wick - 10-30-2013 02:07 PM Thanks guys. When I get home I'll post a few more pictures from Galesburg. I gave a speech there a couple of years ago at Sandburg's birthplace. Best Rob |
